GREAT SEMESTER !

And We Are on the finish line for this semester in Student Dance company. That was the most exciting semester ever. There have been a hell lot of changes within the whole system of SD. We changed the days from Thursdays to Tuesdays. We made it lot bigger and richer activity called Salsa Tuesdays. Our Djing got developed and had become very good. There are 3 more major things that were new for us and became a big success: Latin Dance Aerobics at KTH-Hallen, Zouk nights and Bachata at La Isla taught by Yevgeny and Anastasia a.k.a. Latin Flame Dance Company in cooperation with Mdans.

Hi Folks! We in Student Dance are working hard on a big expansion and development of our organisation. One of our major projects right now is the new Student Dance website: www.studentdance.se . I spend quite a lot of time to get it done.

It is not 100% ready, there are still some things to be done but it is already open for internet public. There are a lot of new features: a very big gallery from all our activities, better organised faq and events sections, registration form and videos section. A big radio playlist is coming soon so you will be able to listen to our best dance hits. Keep on checking !

Sea Battle 2010

Yeah ! That's right Sea Battle again! 12th to 14th of April there has been probably the most crazy thing that happens during the year. It is a cruise to Tallinn on a boat called Baltic Queen with around 2 thousand international students wanting to party, drink and go nuts. We in Student Dance decided to change the scenario for this year and instead of just having regular Salsa course we added improvised shows and club/street Animacion (salsa, merengue house , bachata, latin street, reggaeton, cha-cha house, baile funk). The effect was more than awesome and people really loved it. Even on the other day we had quite a lot of people despite their naked drinking during the previous night. Student Dance is already 3 years old! It all started as KTH Salsa back in 2007. When Tania, Johan, and Sylvia started to teach small groups of students (around 20 at that time) LA and Cuban Salsa.

Like always Salsa Tuesdays at Student Dance are packed with happy people enjoying dancing or just hanging around the place. That is how it goes every tuesday from 19:00 up to midnight. A lot of space to dance, cheapest Salsa lessons in Stockholm. I found that the best place for me to dance, good floor and I love when there is really a lot of space for LA Salsa turns, tricks and so on...
